The ContiSportContact 2 (CSC2) was released in March 2001 to offer greater performance in dry & wet conditions. The outstanding ContiSportContact 2 is developed to meet the needs of the drivers of powerful sports cars, sports coupes & luxurious performance sedans. The ContiSportContact 2 features Continental�s bionic* tread compound & contour technologies to enhance traction, braking & handling with striking design. The ContiSportContact 2 already obtained 150 Original Equipment (OE) approvals including Mercedes-Benz E-Class, Ford (Mondeo) & all Porsche models (911 Turbo, Carrera & Boxster). In fact, the Porsche 911 Turbo was developed on the ContiSportContact 2.
On the outside, the ContiSportContact 2 features a bionic tread compound technology that is based on nature. The design of a spider�s web � which is both elastic & stable � was used for the first time in the creation of a tyre compound that is both flexible & firm. The bionic tread is molded into an asymmetric design (not directional) that enhances steering response & precision while the tyre�s continuous ribs provide the circumferential stiffness to transmit drive & braking forces.
The ContiSportContact 2 pattern resembles F1 tyres with its 5 wide, longitudinal grooves. The continuous circumferential tread grooves between the ribs help disperse water to resist hydroplaning. Internally, the ContiSportContact 2 tyre features Continental�s Advanced Mold Contour (AMC), which allows the tyre to become wider during braking to help shorten stopping distances & narrower when the car is moving at high speed. The ContiSportContact 2 features twin steel belts reinforced by nylon to stabilize the tread area & enhance handling as well as high-speed capability. Continental tested ContiSportContact 2 with 5 other competitors & ContiSportContact 2 was the best in dry braking & wet & dry handling. ContiSportContact 2 has no or very little vibration compared to most of its competitors at high speed.

ContiSportContact 2 dibuat untuk pengendara mobil mewah & mobil berkecepatan tinggi. ContiSportContact 2 dibuat oleh bahan Bionik spesial untuk memberikan traksi tambahan saat mengerem & mudah dikendalikan, juga memiliki design yg sporty. ContiSportContact 2 telah dipakai di lebih dari 150 jenis kendaraan sebagai ban OE termasuk Mercedes-Benz E-Class, Ford (Mondeo) & semua jenis Porsche (911 Turbo, Carrera & Boxster). Bahkan Porsche 911 Turbo dibuat dengan menggunakan ban ContiSportContact 2 sebagai ban aslinya.
Karet Bionik ban ContiSportContact 2 terbuat dari alam & di kombinasikan dengan design seperti sarang laba-laba yg sangat elastis tapi stabil. Telapak Bionik ditambah dengan design asimetris (bukan 1 arah) menambah kontrol setir & akurasi. Telapak yg beralur tidak terputus memberikan kekokohan tersendiri saat menyetir atau mengerem kendaraan.
Telapak ContiSportContact 2 mirip dengan ban F1 dengan 5 alur lebar. Alur yang dalam juga membantu dalam pembuangan air yg maksimal. ContiSportContact 2 memiliki teknologi Advance Mold Contour (Telapak Istimewa Canggih) dimana telapak ban akan membesar saat dilakukan perngereman sehingga mobil akan berhenti lebih cepat dari ban lainnya. Telapak ban akan mengecil saat ban berpacu dengan cepat, sehingga mempercepat perputaran ban. ContiSportContact 2 mengandung kawat baja kembar didukung oleh nylon sehingga telapak ban menjadi lebih stabil & mudah dikendalikan saat berkecepatan tinggi.
Continental telah mengetest ContiSportContact 2 dengan 5 ban merk lainnya & ContiSportContact 2 unggul saat dilakukan pengereman di jalan kering, basah & juga pengendalian mobil di jalan kering. ContiSportContact 2 hampir tidak memiliki getaran, dibandingkan merk lainnya.
