The NBA has announced a deal with MGM to use the league’s logos on betting oddsboards. The deal is not part of any gaming regulations, and other sports leagues may seek similar deals. The CEO of William Hill U.S. said he has received daily calls from teams looking to sign a sponsorship deal. The NBA has also banned gambling companies from sponsoring their jerseys until recently. But that may be changing. The NBA will soon allow non-MGM sportsbooks to offer NBA betting.

The Professional and Amateur Sports Protection Act was recently repealed by the Supreme Court, but that did not stop New York and other states from embracing sports betting. The PGA TOUR has since instituted a robust integrity program. In the first 30 days, it received over $2 billion in wagers. It also partnered with Genius Sports and IMG ARENA to license live scoring data. As part of this effort, the TOUR has pledged to support the public and offer legal protections.
